In California, BioCentric Energy announced a partnership with China’s Zenxin to establish algae biodiesel production in China. The partners formed BioCentric Energy Algae Hong Kong and will embark on a CO2 capture project at a coal-fired steel plant in Wuhan, using the CO2 as a feedstock for algae production. The company said it will gasify the algae residues for power generation.
