ASTM publishes revised biodiesel standards

ASTM International has published a revised specification for biodiesel blends. The new specs include: ASTM D975-08a, Specification for Diesel Fuel Oils, revised to include requirements for up to 5 percent biodiesel;  ASTM D396-08b, Specification for heating and boiler Fuel Oils — revised to include requirements for up to 5 percent biodiesel; and a new specification, ASTM D7467-08, Specification for Diesel Fuel Oil, Biodiesel Blend (B6 to 20), covering higher blends of biodiesel for on and off-road vehicle use. ASTM also published revisions to the ASTM D6751 standard for B100 biodiesel.
