Southridge Ethanol to acquire 50 Mgy sugarcane ethanol plant in Brazil

In Brazil, Southridge Ethanol announced that it has signed a Letter of Intent to acquire 50 Mgy in sugar cane ethanol production capacity with the acquisition of an existing mill from Bronsiacco Industrial. Southridge is concurrently negotiating an Asian-based equity infusion to provide capital for the acquisition. The company expects to complete the acquisition and add the capacity by May 2009.
