The US Conference of Mayors released a “Current and Potential Green Jobs in the U.S. Economy” report that projected 1.5 million new jobs by 2038 in the alternative fuels sector. The report projected 1.2 million new jobs in renewable power and 81,000 jobs in energy efficiency. The report assumes that US alternative fuel usage will reach 30 percent by 2038.
