For the day, Archer Daniels Midland (ADM) fell 2.28 percent to $21.41, while Aventine Renewable Energy (AVR) gained 8.23 percent to close at $3.42. Among small caps, Panda Ethanol (PDAE.OB) closed at $0.07, up 75 percent. Overall, advances led declines 3 to 2 for the day.
