Christianson & Associates reports in a new study that new technologies have resulted in a 13.5 percent reduction in the cost of ethanol production between 2004 and 2007. The report found that ethanol plants reduced their energy usage, in BTUs, by 19 percent during the period, with a total of 21,000 BTUs now required per gallon of ethanol. The report also found a 13 percent decrease in power usage. Download the full report here.
