Biofuels Digest Index jumps 3.43 percent to 67.93 on ethanol surge

The Biofuels Digest Index™ (BDI), a basket of public biofuels stocks, jumped 3.43 percent Friday to 67.93 on gains in agribusiness and ethanol stocks.  For the day, Archer Daniels Midland (ADM) rose 6.06 percent to $23.98,  percent to $22.61, while Aventine Renewables (AVR) jumped 14.57 percent to close at $5.66. Among small caps, Raven Biofuels (RVBF.OB)  gained 3.92 percent to close at $0.53. Overall, advances led declines 4 to 1 for the day.
