Fiji government opens access road, encourages cassava planting, in prep for ethanol production

In Fiji, Interim Minister of Transport and Works Timoci Natuva while opened a the $1 million access road for several villages in Naitasiri in preparation for ethanol production. The minister and Prime Minister Commodore Frank Bainimarama said that the villagers should maximize cultivation of cassava to provide feedstock for the plant, which will produce income, jobs and a supply of affordable fuel for machinery and vehicles.
