In India, the Indian cabinet approved a national biofuels policy including a 20 percent ethanol and biodiesel content target for 2017. The country is scheduled to move from a 5 percent ethanol mabdate to 10 percent in October, at the commencement of the sugar harvest season. Diesel makes up an 80 percent share of the liquid fuel market for India, with the remaining 20 percent from gasoline.
