50 fuel, clean city and health groups petition US House to increase incentives for E85, biodiesel pump installation

A coalition of more than 50 biofuels producers and health, oil marketing, agricultural and clean cities organizations addressed a letter to US House Speaker Nancy Pelosi to encourage adoption of the E85 and Biodiesel Access Act introduced by House members Stephanie Herseth-Sandlin (D-SD) and John Shimkus (R-IL). The Act enhances the Alternative Fuel Vehicle Refueling Property Credit and provides greater incentives for installation of E85 and biodiesel equipment.

Signers of the letter, which can be downloaded here, include National Ethanol Vehicle Coalition, National Association of Convenience Stores, Alliance of Automobile Manufacturers, American Lung Association of the Upper Midwest, Petroleum Marketers Association of America, American Corn Growers Association, Petroleum Equipment Institute, Alternative Fuels Vehicle Network, Nebraska Ethanol Board, Ann Arbor Clean Cities Coalition, Clean Communities of Central New York, Georgia Oilman’s Association and more than 40 others.
