Researchers report that poultry can utilize enzyme-boosted dried distillers grains as feed

Researchers at Auburn University are reporting that they have developed enzyme additives that will allow poultry producers to replace traditional grain animal feed with dried distillers grains. By adding phytase, xylanase, amylase and protease enzymes, weight gain improved up to 12 percent and feed efficiency increased by 5 percent compared to using DDGs without the enzymes.
