The National Biodiesel Board, Indigenous Energy, and States Logistics, have commenced a six-month road test of B5 to B99 in terms of CO2 emissions. Preliminary data from the May and June tests revealed a 16.5 ton reduction in the seven-truck test. The trucks average 27,000 miles per month, according to a report in todaystrucking. Complete results will be reported at the Mid-America Trucking Show in March 2009, and may be used to support a grant of carbon credits but the preliminaries support a reduction of 1.2 billion tons of CO2 which, at December 08 CER prices on the Chicago Climate Exchange, would value at a $29 billion windfall.
