For the day, Aventine Renewable Energy (AVR) fell 4.38 percent to $6.12, while Cosan (CZZ) fell 5.43 percent to finish at $11.33. Among small caps, Xethanol (XNL) fell 4.44 percent to $0.43. Overall, declines led advances 17 to 1 for the day.
