For the day, Archer Daniels Midland (ADM) gained 2.84 percent to close at $26.06, while Aventine Renewable Energy (AVR) jumped 3.57 percent to $6.39. Among small caps, Raven Biofuels (RVBF.OB) declined 8.51 percent to $0.43. Overall, advances led declines 3 to 2 for the day.
