BDFC to invest $33 million in 18,000 hectare Ethiopian sugar cane, ethanol project

In Ethiopia, BDFC Ethiopia Industry, a subsidiary of US-based B&D Foods. will invest $33 million and receive 18,000 hectares of land from Amhara Regional State for a sugar cane and ethanol production project. The company will use a site previously intended for the abandoned Tana Beles irrigation and electric power project.
