For the day, Archer Daniels Midland (ADM) rose 1.77 percent to close at $26.49, while Pacific Ethanol (PEIX) gained 12.32 percent to close at $2.37. Among small caps, MGP Ingredients (MGPI) rose 1.55 percent to $5.90. Overall, advances led declines 2 to 1 for the day.
