In Oregon, Snake River Ethanol announced plans to construct a 130 Mgy corn and sugar beet ethanol plant at Nyssa, on the site of an abandoned sugar beet processing facility. The company’s filing reveals that Snake River will use a fractionation technology to separate bran and oils prior to processing, and sell those as separate co-products. The owners say they plan to make a submission to the Oregon Energy Facility Siting Council within the month.
