In Maryland, Gov. Martin O’Malley announced a plan to construct six new E85 pumps around the state so that the state’s fleet of 1200 flex-fuel vehicles can fill up with renewable fuels. Previously, there was only one E85 pump available to state employees, and state fleet managers have been unable to meet a goal set by former governor Glendening that state cars fill up with E85 at least half the time. The stae will add another 200 flex-fuel cars to its fleet, and has negotiated a bulk price of $2.92 for E85. Pumps will be located in Annapolis, Baltimore, Hanover. Easton, Hagerstown, La Plata and Salisbury.
