In Iowa, Green Plains Renewable Energy passed the 1 million gallon mark at its new corn ethanol plant in Superior. The company says that it is ready to begin scale up towards its nameplate capacity of 55 Mgy now that equipment and systems have been fully tested; the company said that it has commenced shipping ethanol to customers as of this week.
