CleanEdge and New Energy Finance are reporting a continuing boom in green energy investment. According to CleanEdge, revenue in the biofuels, wind, solar and fuel cell sectors will grow from $77 billion in 2007 to $250 billion by 2017. New Energy Finance is reporting that 22 cleantech investment funds now have $750 million under management, and the number of funds is expected to grow to more than 100 in the new few years, with six funds with $300 million in management launching in 2007-08 focusing on investing in other cleantech funds.
