Georgia’s Cobb County to produce biodiesel, convert fleet to B20

In Georgia, Cobb County will purchase a “containerized” biodiesel production plant, and will commence biodiesel production using waste fats and greases collected from large area food facilities. The fuel will be used to produce enough fuel, 75,000 gallons, to convert the county to B20 biodiesel. The county is in the process of procuring a biofuel production system.  That the RFP goes out Friday, August 8, with bids opened on September 4. The county said that it would be operational by December.
