Biofuels Digest Index falls 0.57 percent to 87.42 in mixed trading

The Biofuels Digest Index™ (BDI), a basket of public biofuels stocks, fell 0.57 percent yesterday to close at 87.42 in mixed trading.  For the day, Archer Daniels Midland (ADM) was down 0.79 percent to $31.25, while VeraSun Energy (VSE) managed a 4.16 percent gain to $4.23 to lead ethanol stocks. Among small caps, GreenShift (GERS.OB) recovered 14.75 percent to $0.07.  Overall, advances led declines 2 to 1 for the day.
