Biofuels Digest Index gains 2.09 percent to 93.98 on agribusiness surge

The Biofuels Digest Index™ (BDI), a basket of public biofuels stocks, gained 2.09 percent to 93.98 as gains in agribusiness offset sharp declines in mid cap ethanol stocks.  For the day, Archer Daniels Midland (ADM) rose 2.52 percent to $33.75, while Pacific Ethanol (PEIX) dropped 9.50 percent to $1.81 to lead the ethanol decline.  Among small caps, GreenShift (GERS.OB) jumped 18.75 percent to $0.095.  Overall, advances and declines were even for the day.
