Biofuels Digest Index drops 1.23 percent to tie all-time low

The Biofuels Digest Index™ (BDI), a basket of public biofuels stocks, fell 1.23 percent to 91.29 to tie an all-time lo set earlier in the week, as a recovery in agribusiness and ethanol faltered. For the day, Archer Daniels Midland (ADM) fell 0.91 percent to close at $32.82, while Pacific Ethanol (PEIX) fell 11.24 percent to close at $2.21. Among small caps, Xethanol (XNL) gained 2.86 percent to close at $0.72.   Overall, declines led advances 2 to 1 for the day.
