Biofuels Digest Index recovers 1.25 percent to 92.43

The Biofuels Digest Index™ (BDI), a basket of public biofuels stocks, recovered 1.25 percent to 92.43, ending a weeklong freefall over the corn crisis that saw the Index drop to an all-time lows on Monday. For the day, Archer Daniels Midland (ADM) gained 1.56 percent to close at $33.12, while VeraSun Energy (VSE) lost 8.08 percent to close at $4.21. However, Pacific Ethanol (PEIX) recovered 2.89 percent to close at $2.49. Among small caps, Earth Biofuels (EBOF) lost 4.55 percent to close at $0.021. Overall, declines and advances were even for the day.
