Sustainable Power Corp. Receives Confirmation That Its Bio Crude Components Are Capable of Producing Marketable “Green” Gasoline

June 12, 2008

BAYTOWN, TX (BIOFUELS NEWSWIRE) — Jun 11, 2008 — Sustainable Power announced that it received confirmation from AmSpec Services, LLC that its bio-crude samples produced and taken from its Baytown, Texas facility were found to have similar properties to material used for gasoline blend stocks, which are used to create marketable gasoline.

A copy of the letter received from AmSpec Services and the corresponding laboratory report can be viewed here:

John Rivera, Chairman of SSTP, stated, “AmSpec’s analysis confirmed that our ‘all-green’ bio-crude is a revolutionary alternative to conventional petroleum-based crude and is a possible solution to the oil crisis currently plaguing the nation. With gasoline reaching over $4.00 per gallon nationwide, and with crude oil hitting new highs, it is at a most opportune time for the Company to receive AmSpec’s findings.”

“The uniqueness of our process is that it utilizes non-food grade materials, thus having no effect on commodity prices and supply. The pricing of our ‘all-green’ bio-gasoline would be substantially less than what consumers are currently paying for petroleum-based gasoline while further adhering to the government’s new proposed environmental guidelines,” added Mr. Rivera.

      “Green” Gasoline Confirmation

If it can be confirmed that the sulfur content of 1.103 ppm indicated on the AmSpec Labs datasheet is valid and representative of the USSE Biocrude Oil, then they have more than just a viable Biocrude Oil that can be used to produce Biogasoline or any other fuel.

What they have is a Biocrude Oil capable of producing Ultra Clean fuels with less than 6 ppm sulfur.

Yes, 1.103 ppm sulfur. But I’m thinking along the lines of all bio-stock candidates and a collection of non-food crops, garbage after food crop processing is completed, or specific food crops not worthy and/or designated “non-food”.

It would be too much of a reach to say 1.103 ppm sulfur is characteristic of all the different sources of bio-stock used to produce Biocrude Oil.

So if they can assure less than 6 ppm sulfur, that clearly brings them to a prestigious level of

      ULTRA CLEAN

      fuel producer.

Diesel fuel has a requirement now of 15 ppm sulfur in the United States - designated “low sulfur” fuel.

Gasoline fuel has a 30-80 ppm sulfur content to be designated low sulfur gasoline. The 30 ppm sulfur is at the point of refining/manufacturing. The higher numbers cover contamination from distribution tanks, pipelines, and eventually the storage tank at a service station.

The USSE Cellulosic Diesel and Biogasoline could be characterized by less than 6 ppm sulfur (and possibly near 1 ppm sulfur) if the data can be supported over a wide variety of bio-stock sources.

In any specification at USSE, I would recommend “less than 6 ppm sulfur” as the requirement for Ultra Clean.
