Sugarcane ethanol to power 6 MW power plant in Sri Lanka

In Sri Lanka, LOLC group, announced that it would produce sugar and ethanol to power a 6 MW power plant in Amparai. The operation will be established at the closed Gal Oya Plantations, a former sugar concern, in a public-private partnership that would involve the efforts of 4,000 local farmers.
