Angola announces $310 million in sorghum, sugarcane projects

In Angola, the central government announced that Angolan-based CIFAL and Spanish-owned Alcohespa will invest $150 million in a sorghum-based ethanol project that will produce 2 million tonnes of ethanol annually. South Africa-based PGBI and local Angolan firm Cielfil Agricultura will invest $160 million in a sugarcane ethanol project that will use 40,00 hectares of land and produce 180,000 tonnes of sugar annually.
