Biofuels Digest Index slips 0.72 percent to 122.74 on agribusiness slide

The Biofuels Digest Indexâ„¢ (BDI), a basket of public biofuels stocks, fell 0.72 percent yesterday to close at 122.74 on mixed results in ethanol and agribusiness. For the day, Archer Daniels Midland (ADM) fell 1.06 percent to close at $43.96, while Pacific Ethanol (PEIX) soared another 23.63 percent to $5.65 on the heels of strong quarterly earnings.

Among small caps, Xethanol (XNL) also leaped 34.17 percent to $0.75. Overall, advances led declines 3 to 2 for the day.
