Oregon’s 113 Mgy Cascade Grain corn ethanol plant opens, will become largest on West Coast
In Oregon, the Cascade Grain corn ethanol plant in Clatskanie is expected to reach production capacity of 113 Mgy in the next month, and will become the highest capacity plant on the West Coast. The plant will surpass the 40 Mgy Pacific Ethanol plant in Boardman, OR.
Oregon continues to be a national leader in developing eco-friendly policy. In addition to a statewide ethanol and biodiesel mandate, Corvallis was declared the “greenest city in America” in the second annual Best Green Places report released by Country Home magazine. Among major cities, Portland placed second in overall rankings. Oregon and California placed six cities each in the top 25.
