Biofuels Digest Index gains 1.16 percent to 123.80 on agribusiness advance

The Biofuels Digest Index™ (BDI), a basket of public biofuels stocks, gained 1.16 percent to close at 123.80, as losses in ethanol were offset by small gains in agribusiness and small caps. For the day, Archer Daniels Midland (ADM) rose 1.43 percent to close at $44.72, while Aventine Renewable Energy (AVR) fell 12.97 percent to $4.36. Among small caps, MGP Ingredients rose 1.69 percent to $7.24.   Overall, declines led advances 2 to 1 on the day.
