Biofuels Digest Index flat as agribusiness advances, ethanol retreats

The Biofuels Digest Indexâ„¢ (BDI), a basket of public biofuels stocks, lost 0.01 percent to close at 122.38, small gains by agribusiness were offset by declines in ethanol. For the day, Archer Daniels Midland (ADM) rose 0.34 percent to close at $444.09, while VeraSun Energy (VSE) fell 9.61 percent to $6.21. Among small caps, Nova Biosource Fuels (NBF) fell 17.59 percent to finish at $0.89. Overall, declines led advances 5 to 3 on the day.
