Today in Biofuels Opinion: New York Times essays food vs fuel finger pointing; UK protests as Renewable Transport Fuel Obligation takes effect
The New York Times ran an article titled “Fuel Choices, Food Crises and Finger-Pointing” on the pressure building for Western governments to rescind biofuels targets in the face of a global food crisis.
The UK’s Independent ran an article regarding protests in the UK as the Renewable Transport Fuel Obligation (RTFO) comes into force today.
The News-Leader ran a column entitles “The Willow Brook Foods bad-news headline would have been more accurate if it announced, “Lost to Ethanol, 780 Local Jobs,” after a local food processing plant closed.
