Biofuels Digest Index drops 1.18 percent on agribusiness woes

The Biofuels Digest Index™ (BDI), a basket of public biofuels stocks, fell 1.18 percent to close at 114.64 on weakness in agribusiness stocks.  Archer Daniels Midland (ADM) fell 1.27 percent to close at $41.24 while The Andersons (ANDE) dropped 3.16 percent to close at $43.53.

Among ethanol stocks, Aventine Renewable Enmergy (AVR)  gained 5.14 percent to $5.52. Among small caps, Green Plains Renewable Energy (GPRE) rose 4.07 percent to $9.20 after completing its merger with Great Lakes Cooperative.  Overall, advances led declines 7 to 6.
