In Brazil, Embraer subsidiary Neiva said that it had sold 50 ethanol-consuming Ipanema light aircraft, and more than 200 ethanol conversion kits. The company said that ethanol prices — 40 percent lower than gasoline, were responsible for the switch of almost every Ipanema owner to ethanol from avgas.
