Dial Energy abandons 100 Mgy corn ethanol project in Illinois over feedstock, financing issues

In Illinois, Dial Energy has abandoned plans to construct a 100 Mgy corn ethanol plant in Abingdon, citing high feedstock prices and financing difficulties. The company originally projected to commence construction in 2006 on the $200 million project.
