Flex-fuel cars now account for 17 percent of all Swedish car sales as country opens 1,000th E85 station serving 80,000 vehicles

In Sweden, the 1,000th E85 station opened in October, and by December the country had registered more than 80,000 ethanol-powered vehicles. The Swedish Society of Green Motorists said that the country is opening 50 E85 stations per month, and that E85 car registrations increased 121 percent between October 2006 and October 2007 and represented 16.7 percent of all car sales.
