The Biofuels Digest Indexâ„¢, a basket of public biofuels stocks, fell 0.39 percent to 107.07 as losers led gainers 2 to 1 for the day.

Among large cap diversified agribusiness, The Andersons (ANDE) fell 1,40 percent to close at $40.25 despite bullish profit forecasts issued late last week. VeraSun Energy (VSE) was up 3.46 percent to $12.86 to lead mid cap ethanol stocks, while Xethanol (XNL) was down 6.82 percent to $0.41 among small caps.
