ConocoPhillips outlines transformation from an oil and gas company to energy company

In Michigan, the CEO of ConocoPhillips indicated his company’s strong focus on transforming from an oil and gas company into an “energy company”, highlighting investment in wind, solar, and biofuels projects.

Archer-Daniels-Midland recently announced a partnership with ConocoPhillips to produce “biocrude,” a hydrocarbon fuel made from biomass with similar properties to crude oil, which can be refined into gasoline or diesel. ConocoPhillips had previously announced a partnership with Tyson foods to develop chicken-fat based biodiesel.
