New Online biofuels exchange launches; feedstocks, fuels to trade online

A new company has launched to provide an online exchange and marketplace for trading of biofuel feedstocks and fuels. Green Fuels Exchange, at www.gfex.org, launches Oct. 15 as “the first marketplace in North America dedicated to green fuels and their raw materials.”

The Chicago Board of Trade has been the location of most trading activity for biofuel feedstocks, but there has not been a trading desk in the most exotic feedstocks, such as Algae, jatropha, or miscanthus.
