California waste removal company to convert 225-truck fleet to biodiesel

In California, Allied Waste will convert its 225 diesel garbage truck fleet to run on B20. The company had been testing B20 in 16 trucks since mid-August and received no complaints, and will convert the entire fleet by January. With the conversion, the company will reduce its carbon footprint by 3.3 million pounds, equivalent to annual emissions of 315 cars,  or annual power needs for 650 homes.
