Ohio EPA issues two permits for 69 Mgy POET ethanol plant in Marion

In Ohio, the state Environmental Protection Agency issued two permits for the proposed POET ethanol plant just west of Marion. The plant is projected to produce 69 million gallons per year of corn ethanol. The project was formerly known as Marion Ethanol.

POET is also upgrading its 50 Mgy ethanol plant in Emmetsburg, IA to a 125 Mgy cellulosic ethanol facility. POET has 20 ethanol plants in operation and seven under development.
