Indian sugar mill to increase ethanol production capacity by 50 percent to 17 Mgy in 2008.

Simbhaoli Sugar Mills will increase ethanol production capacity by 50 percent to 17 Mgy in 2008. India’s growing interest in biofuels production is increasingly apparent , and attempts to incease production to meet E5 and possible future E10 mandates. The sugar mill;s annoucnement comes on the heels of public disagreements over whether India has sourced enough ethanol to meet an E5 mandate.
