Green Renewable Energy Ethanol & Nutrition Holding filed for its final air-quality permits with the state of Pennsylvania. The $300 million corn ethanol production and biodiesel distribution center is on the verge of commencing production although funding is not yet complete. Permitting is complete for the storage tanks and truck terminal.
Green Renewables management indicated that they will continue to pursue funding during the permit review process, which includes a public review period. Pennsylvania officials confirmed that another ethanol plant is under consideration in Lackawanna County.
