The state’s first 500,000 gallons biodiesel facility is open in Sedgwick, using recycled cooking oils and soybean oil to create a B99 blend.
According to the 2007 Oil Independence Report, Kansas has 657 million gallons in annual ethanol production capacity, and is ranked fifth among all US states.
