Consumers use DrivingGreen.com to offset global emissions by 13,000 tons of CO2

Driving Green calculates the amount of harmful greenhouse gases consumers use in vehicles, flights or at event that emit greenhouse gases. Driving Green allows them to provide the equivalent dollar amount to an agricultural project that reduces greenhouse gas emissions by converting animal waste into the renewable energy that powers the entire farm and sometimes the surrounding area.

DrivingGreen.com supports greenhouse gas emission reduction projects managed by AgCert International. When consumers purchase verified emission reductions (VERs) from DrivingGreen.com, they support projects that have been implemented on livestock farms that reduce the methane (a greenhouse gas 21 times more potent than carbon dioxide as far as global warming is concerned) normally emitted from the animal waste.

DrivingGreen.com projects are third party verified by SES-Inc. (www.ses-corp.com). SES was founded in 1998 with expertise in natural resources management, environmental consulting, agriculture and program development/verification. In the past five years SES has expanded its expertise into the carbon trading industry.

DrivingGreen.com offers easy vehicle, flight, fleet and event offset calculators. Offset credits puchased by consumers support greenhouse gas emission projects such as:

New Horizons Dairy, Elmwood, IL – reducing approximately 600 metric tonnes GHG emissions per month;

Colorado Pork, LLC, Lamar, CO – reducing approximately 250 metric tonnes GHG emissions per month;

Holsum Dairy, Hilbert, WI – Reducing approximately 1680 metric tonnes GHG emissions per month;

Lake Breeze Dairy, Malone, WI – Reducing approximately 1300 metric tonnes GHG emissions per month;
