In Washington, data from the DOE shows that there are twice as many electric vehicle charging stations across the country than E85 pumps. There are currently 4,448 charging stations and about 16,500 ‘highway worthy’ electric vehicles nationwide. On the other hand, there are 2,468 E85 pumps and 7.6 million vehicles that can run on the fuel.

Overall, there is one charging station for every 3.7 electric cars, and one E85 pump for every 3079 flex-fuel vehicles.
