US Navy says it expects competitively-priced biofuels by 2018-20

In Maryland, the Navy is confident that biofuels for the fleet will be produced competitively and in enough quantity by 2018, or by 2020 at the latest.  Between government incentives and increased demand to power a ‘green’ fleet, as well as teaming with industry and researchers, reaching its energy goals is achievable within their expected timeframe, said deputy assistant secretary of the Navy for energy.
