Biofuels Digest Index reaches new 29-month high of 81.90

The Biofuels Digest Index™ (BDI), a basket of public biofuels stocks, gained 0.27 percent to 81.90 on large cap gains and despite ethanol losses.  For the day, Archer Daniels Midland (ADM) soared 3.83 percent to $31.69 after being upgraded by BMO to outperform, while BioFuel Energy (BIOF) plunged 7.10 percent to $1.57.  Among other equities, Pacific Ethanol (PEIX) plummeted 12.50 percent to $0.91. Overall, declines led advances 7 to 4 for the day.
