Mexican jatropha biofuels to be used at COP 16 climate summit

In Mexico, biofuel production from the country’s first facility—located in Chiapas and using jatropha as a feedstock—will be used in all the official vehicles transporting the 20,000 delegates expected to attend the upcoming COP16 meeting in Cancun. Locally in Chiapas, 136 buses that can use biodiesel as well as 45 trucks will be introduced into the public transportation system.
